Shazam 2 Release Date, OTT, Star Cast, Makers, Trailer & More
American superhero movie Shazam!, which is based on the DC Comics character of the same name, will soon be back with its sequel titled Shazam! Fury of the Gods.
Directed by David F. Sandberg, the film is the twelfth film in the American media franchise DC Extended Universe (DCEU).cx`
The first part “Shazam!” was released on April 5, 2019, and received a positive response from the audience as well as critics. It became a massive hit and grossed $366 million worldwide.
Right after its release in 2019, the makers of the movie announced that it will be renewed for the second part. As soon as the makers announced it, the excitement among the fans for the new sequel touched the sky. It is arriving soon in Cinemas.
SHAZAM 2 STAR CAST
- Zachery Levi, who is best known for his character Chuck Bartowski from American spy drama Chuck, will reprise his role as Shazam, an alter-ego of teenager Billy Batson, who possesses the qualities of Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles and Mercury.
- Asher Angel will also be back in his character named Billy Batson, a teenager who was chosen by the ancient wizard Shazam to be his new champion
- Jack Dylan Grazer as Billy’s physically disabled foster brother Frederick Freeman/Freddy

- Djimon Hounsou as Shazam, an ancient wizard who gave his powers to Billy Batson after naming his as champion

Shazam 2 The film is directed by David F. Sandberg and the screenplay is written by Henry Gayden along with Chris Morgan. Gyula Pados is handling the cinematographic work.

SHAZAM 2 RELEASE DATE
Shazam 2 The makers of the movie have finally revealed the release date of the highly-anticipated sequel of Shazam!. It will be released a few days prior to Christmas this year, on 16th December 2022 in the USA, having a direct clash with James Cameron’s epic science fiction film Avatar 2.
It will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. Earlier, it was scheduled to be released on April 1, 2022, but was delayed to November 4, 2022, and then again to June 2, 2023.

However, Thursday has come up with some surprising updates as the makers announced that the film will release on December 16 this year instead of June 2, 2023.
Along with this, Warner Bros. Pictures changes the release date of its upcoming movies like Aquaman 2, The Flash, and Black Adam.
Black Adam has been pushed back from July 29 to October 21, 2022, The Flash from November 4, 2022, to June 23, 2023, and Aquaman 2 from December 16 2022 to March 17, 2023.
